<note>This study aimed to learn about how much influence the age of oil palm plantations and fruits drop number variation on the quality of palm oil to be produced. By calculating the oil content, FFA, moisture content.
The experimental design used was split plot design (RPT), which is done by combining the factor S (age of the plant 5 years, 7 years, and 13 years) as the whole plot by a factor of L (variation missing 5 pieces of fruit, 10 fruit and 15 fruit ) as the plot section with three replicates. Analysis carried out on oil palm fruit that has been boiled, and then make the calculation of oil content, FFA, moisture content.
Based on the results of the study, the highest oil content analysis contained in the TBS with plant age 13 years (65.07%) and fruit missing variation of 15 units (67.32). Analysis of the lowest levels of FFA found in TBS with plant age 5 years (1.68%) and fruit missing variation of 5 pieces (1.31%). The lowest water content found on TBS with plant age 5 years and 13 years (0.14%) and fruits drop number variation of 15 units (0.10%).
