<note>This experiment was carried out to evaluate the proportion of photosynthate allocation in flush and young pod of cocoa. Cocoa clone KW 163 and KW 165 grown on experiment filed of Kalowining, Indonesia Coffea and Cocoa Research Institut at Jember, East Java, were used in this experiment. Boron was used as photosynthate allocation trace and was applicated on cocoa leaf on branch having flush and flushless branch. Plant without boron treatment was used as control. One day after boron application., boron content in flush, pod, flower and leaf was evaluated with AAS method. The result showed that in both clones, boron was detected in flowers, pods and flushes, it means that those organs are photosynthate sink. The flushes showed higher sink strength than pods, and indicates that flushes obtained more photosynthate that young pod. Key words: Cocoa, boron, photosynthate allocation, source, sink</note>
