<note>ABSTRACT
Fusarium fungus is a fungus that causes Fusarium wilt. This disease often attacks
young plants with symptoms of yellowing, deciduous and dead leaves. Fusarium wilt is often
found in young plants so it needs to be controlled such as chemical, biological and other
controls. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of the kind Trichoderma sp.
isolate of the inhibition of Fusarium oxysporum fungi and increase in the density of Fungal
spores. This research was conducted in Laboratory of Plant Pathologi Royal Golden Eagle
Technology Center, PT. Riau Andalas Pulp and Paper (RAPP). This research uses the factor
treatment with the methods that used is Complete Random Design. Factors treatment used the
kind of Trichoderma sp. which consists of 16 types of isolates. Parameters observed were the
inhibitory power of Trichoderma sp. to the growth of Fusarium oxysporum fungus and the
density of Trichoderma sp. and Fusarium oxysporum. Data were analyzed using analysis of
variance. The results of the analysis of variance that showed significant differences further
tested with the LSD test (Least Signifcant Differences). The results showed that kind of
Trichoderma sp. don’t significantly affect the inhibtion of Fusarium oxysporum fungi, but there
was a tendency that the type of ETA 035 isolate produced the highest inhibitory capacity of
59,97%. Spore density has a very significant effect on the addition of Fusarium oxysporum and
Trichoderma sp. ETA 071 isolates produce spore density of Trichoderma sp. the highest is
225.250.000 spores per ml. ETA 177 isolates produced the lowest density of Fusarium
oxysporum fungus spores, amounting to 25.100.00 spores per ml.
